You are very welcome, Ani!
really helpful video for attacking the king. thank you coach dejan
Thank you Coach Dejan.
Revenge is actually a dich best served cold
I agree that the echo makes the comments difficult to understand.
Capa was pure brilliance! Thanks for the superb analysis of this game. Dejan you are doing a great job revealing the facets of this incredible mind of Capa! Keep it up!
Such a brilliant game!!
sassystacks, it is an honour to receive a comment like this! Thank you!
GM Bojkov was a main reason i became a paying member at chess.com. this is another fantastic video, and the extensive analysis of every aspect of this game is testament to how good these lectures are. Thank you once again
Interesting and instructive video. (The audio quality sounded fine to me.) Thanks, GM Bojkov.
Redman, thank you for this information, it is quite nice to know more about the game!
Thank you for another excellent video. This game was covered by Capa in his book, 'My Chess career' and a couple of notes the great Cuban makes will be of interest: after black's 22nd, " I can say, because of a conversation I had at the time with Dr. Bernstein that he had not the slightest idea of what was coming". After Black's 23rd,, "The second capture is disastrous, As Lasker pointed out it was necessary to play f6 followed by Rf7 in case of Nh5.
Finally Capa gives this game as finishing with 36. h4 mate.
Thanks for the analysis and video. Put please do something about your audio quality. It sounds like you had the "reverb" effect turned up on your input effects. That or you were broadcasting from a giant bathtub. The echo, combined with deep voice and accent makes it very, very difficult to understand your commentary.
I really enjoy the beauty in Capa's games.
love this series
Thank you for this clarification
at 12:37 black can delay checkmate it seems via: Nf4 Qxf4 Bxf5 exf5 where Qg5 seems to be coming with a similar finish in the attack (Re3 would again be a good option to follow up)
door GM Dejan Bojkov
Revenge is best served... with checkmate! When two of the world's strongest players claimed the young Cuban had no right to take part in the San Sebastian Super Tournament of 1911, Capablanca did not take their words in stride! Rather, he made a mental note to play as precisely as he could to crush these two foes. The first victim? Ossip Bernstein. Enjoy this old school Spanish Game, with our guide, GM Bojkov, at the helm.
