This video does not give us much to complain about.
I have watched this video over 10 times in the past year. This is an excellent video.
@ meffort would u rather trust a silicon box or a well known GM . I'm pretty sure Sam knows what he's doing
Very complex lines but you made them quite easy to follow, a great end to the series!
what a nice move
Really enjoyed the series - this video in particular. Thanks!
Opening orientation at it's best. Excellent series on a hyper-sharp modern line. Might consider to leave the Grunefeld occasionally.
At the start of the video, after 7...b5 you instruct viewers that 8.Bd3 is what should be played next. However, according to the Let's check engines, Houdini 3 x64 depth 33 is recommending 8.Be2 here. I'm not saying 8.Bd3 is a mistake because it is obviously the mainmove, but from watching your electure I was left with the impression that viewers would think that it would actually be erroneous for them to consider to play 8.Be2

Rac8 is a total blunder.
For future videos I strongly recomment the Slav.
door GM Sam Shankland
GM Sam Shankland brings his coverage of the sharp Semi-Slav, Queen's Gambit Declined to a close today by providing an overview of the main line, 6.Bd3 Meran Variation. Though he doesn't dive too deeply into all the complex options available for both white and black, he does provide some general tips on the position and suggest his recommendations for Advanced Players to study further on their own time. Enjoy!

GM Sam Shankland

At 20, he has already played in several U.S. Championships, placing 3rd in 2011.
