Wow .. Ben
. Can you make move vids on this line
Interesting and witty video !
I found N7e5!
Very nice line vs the Grunfeld. I'll try in in one of my games one day!
Wow, not chopping that Queen immediately in the second game took true GM vision, well played and thank you GMFinegold.
Obrigado! Muito instrutivo - Thanks
Leave it to GM Ben Finegold to make all the existing books written on the Grunfeld immediately OBSOLETE!
@jdcannon: Yes, Bf8 is a common move. Then white plays Qa4+. I have faced Bf8 a few times.
So if after Qa3 to block castle, what is white's plan after bf8? If you go back to b3 then black can just repeat and if white wants to play for a win he has to come up with a different plan.
some moves are just amazing
Great stuff, thankyou!
Great video; you've given me another line vs the G'Field. Thank You
Btw I picked up this variation from a Vassily Ivanchuk game a few years ago, so you aren't the ONLY strong gm who plays it
No Mr. Finegold don't show them what I play against the Gruenfeld! Good video btw :). I run into dxc4 alot, those games are fun!
lol White has compensation for his extra piece
The guy in the second game was punished quite badly. Getting a diagonal that strong as in the game sure is a killer. Nice in-between move with Ne5. You are right, everybody would take the queen, blinded by greed.
Great video. These videos are Finegold.
door GM Ben Finegold
"I'm up a piece, with compensation!" That's a pleasant situation to be in, as you might guess. GM Finegold shows you how he got there. Using an offbeat variation against the Grunfeld that no other GM plays, our video author nabs two easy wins. In one, Black is denied the ability to castle. In the second, he manages, but is pulverized on f7 anyway. Finegold even finds a few finesses that are better than winning a queen! Watch him turn Iceland into his playland.
